This picture captured a very special moment when the sun was radiating from behind a large set of clouds. The effect is what looks like the shadow of the clouds appearing in the sky, which was unlike anything that I have ever really witnessed before. This photo has just enough light and reflection on the street to depict what an awesome scene was created by the light.

This Gentleman was sitting outside of his Karl-Marx Strasse Hookah Store, just smoking some shisha and trying to draw some business in. I went into his store for a little while and asked if I could take his photo inside the store, and after he agreed, he begged me to take his photo outside! I really like this photo because it captures the moment very well. The reflection of the the other side of the street on the store window allow this photo to give the viewer a sense of the area in which it was taken. There are also vanishing point qualities to this picture which allow the photo to place the subject within his surroundings without compromising too much of the character that he exuded. I wish that this photo could have also captured the interior of his store which was ornately covered with Hookahs, and had bright orange walls that reflected the passion that Hookahman showed for his business.

The perspective of this photo allows for a pretty cool vanishing point effect that is improved by the fact that the train lines don't simply run straight. The lines created by the perspective that the roof of the Train station is viewed at seem to create their own axis when viewed together with the right-most train tracks. This allows the photo to take a dimension that almost makes the viewer think that the camera was held at an angle when it was taken.

This group of fun-loving drunk locals were very representative of the crowd of people who frequented this Prenzlauer Berg public park. The lady with the plaid shirt proceeded to come up and take a picture with me just after this... priceless. This photo is special because every person in the photo seems to be either looking a different direction or have a subtle but significant change to the expression on their face. If I were to take this photo again, I would really try to make all four of the people fill the frame to the maximum, so that the guy in the green's knee was anchoring the left side of the image, and the dude in the purple shirt's foot was holding down the right side of the photo. I would also try to get the dog in the picture as well, as the personality of that animal was very representative of this eclectic group of drunks.

I really enjoy this photo because of the position that Judith was in while photographing. She seems to be in such an elegant and comfortable place while the rigidity of the surrounding architecture presents itself as a stark contrast to the mood she exudes.

A pretty simple picture with a complex image behind it. The man drinking the beer in the lower left and the older woman in the top right did not appear to have any emotional connection to each other, but exactly replicated each others moods in a very eerie fashion. The landscape of this patio area made it difficult to capture the image exactly how I wanted to, but this picture could be improved by eliminating a lot of the excess weight in the lower third of the photo, and assembling this man and woman in the bottom left and upper right corners, w/ no other distractions in the photo except the flora and the natural character of the builiding they are seen in. PLEASE OPEN TO VIEW IN LARGER SIZE.
This is another really great moment that I was able to get a photo of. The chemistry between these two is very special and allows for some really candid and genuine moments to be captured. Although we cant see Yoni's face, we can feel the expression that he exudes through his posture and his raised cheekbones. His facial expression directs all of the focus of the picture to Lisa, who's laugh is absolutely perfect. The way her blond hair falls on her shoulders creates a beautiful contrast between the lights and darks that are seen in her face. For me, the only disappointing aspect of this photo is that the blue in the background slightly detracts from what the rest of the image accomplishes, however, life isn't always perfect, and I think this photo would be very difficult to recreate with different lighting and background.

If the 17 is a reference to time (5:00 pm), then this could be my new motto for life. Haha, just kidding Mom.

At some point during our excursion i walked through a wormhole and ended up in the late 1970's. I was able to snap this wonderful cold war era glamor shot before promptly teleporting back to Prenzlauer Berg.

This is an opposing view of the spiral staircase. I really like this photo as well, because the light again creates an amazing contrast on the undersides of the stairs.

The shadow created by this spiral stair case was very beautiful. It almost looks like a double helix.

What great luck in capturing this amazing moment. I really don't need to say much more... wow.

This is one of the most beautiful stained glass windows that I have ever seen. It was located inside a cathedral in Prague. Absolutely incredible. PLEASE CLICK AND VIEW IN LARGER WINDOW!!!

Although this photo was taken in Prague, not Berlin, I am putting it in my blog anyways. I really like the way the curved lines of the gates of the Charles bridge mix with the curvature of the buildings in the background. Also, this photo captures the the essence of Prague: Tourists & Beautiful Architecture
